Does anyone know of any legit, credible, MLB rumor sites? I'm curious to see where some of the remaining Free Agents might end up.
I use this site http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/
I have to say, it was pretty refreshing to see a coach coaching to win and not coaching to not lose. If that makes sense. In the NHL it has become quite annoying how every fucking team is coached not to make a mistake instead of going out and playing an excited brand of hockey. The one exception might be Walt's Capitals.
I'm going to assume much the same can be said about to the NFL? Even if I wrong, it was really nice to see the way Payton coached that game.
Normally I'd be excited about Olympic hockey... but if the caps keep this streak going I don't want this break to fuck it up, which means I don't want Ovechkin to get hurt
Well with the recklessness of his style, that can happen just about any shift. He's a targeted player, and in turn he sure likes to dish it as well.
I can only answer your question coming from an Eagles fan point of view, as I don't really pay attention to other football teams as much.
In some games Andy Reid takes a conservative approach, and the team gets burned for it and everyone wants everyone traded/fired.
Then there's other games when he takes an aggressive approach, and the team gets burned for it and everyone wants everyone traded/fired.
Sean Payton is not some evil genius... he had the team in place that could pull off the shit he tried - after all, they made it to the Superbowl, so they clearly weren't shit.
(and he received some luck as well - like when ex-Eagle Hank Baskett missed that on-sides kick catch)
Also, you can't play conservative vs. Peyton Manning. He will burn you no matter where the ball is located on the field, so field position is irrelevant.
If you're the underdog team, then logically you have to go for 4th downs and try some gimmicky plays. I can remember a game this year when the Eagles were playing Atlanta, and Atlanta was WAYYYYYYY overmatched. They spent the entire game going for it on 4th downs and trying some gimmicky shit. None of it worked out for them though, and the coach got blasted for it after the game. Had they won, he would have probably been called a genius.
Those of you that are more die hard ball fans then me, I need your input. I'm trying to talk a buddy of mine into taking an annual trip (or a couple times a year, whatever) to travel to certain places to watch MLB.
Anyways, Wrigley and Fenway are obvious because of their history, but what are some other great ball parks that we should consider? Is there certain ball parks that kind of stand out to you guys?
here. here is walt's post:
BRAVES BRAVES BRAVES BRAVES BRAVESi want to suck off Chipper JonesBRAVES
And he'd probably tell you to see a Capitals game even though it has nothing to do with baseball and only a little bit to do with sucking off Chipper Jones.
Poor Walt, what will he do if Chipper has another shit season and he retires?
There will be no problem getting tickets at Rogers Center this season. Safeco in Seattle always appealed to me, but that's probably due to me always being a bit of a Mariners fan.
There's lots of nice parks out there that you can see from TV, but is there some that stand out for other attractions and such? Ball parks that are a must see that casual fans like myself might not be aware of?
I'm going to have to go to Philly now to see my boy Doc pitch now. I've got a few years to make that one happen.
