There's fucking evil, corrupt corporations out there (i.e. Dupont) that have certain pollution allotments per year that they're given by the EPA.

All of the following is hypothetical and since I don't know the technical term for them, lets just call them "blocks". After all, you're the fucking big shot lawyer - go fucking research this shit yourself.

Well, lets say the EPA gives Dupont 100 blocks to "spend" in a calendar year. Dupont, being in the chemical business, would clearly go over their allotment. Sooooo, instead of investing in newer technologies or research that would allow them to curtail their polluting, it's easier to go buy these leftover blocks from a company who didn't use all of their 100/year. Sounds fucking corrupt to me.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind is on TCM right now. I fucking LOVE this movie. It is a perfect movie. Dreyfuss is spot on fucking perfect in it.

Is some, most, or all of you know i am a fan of film. i am no east side dave, but my movie knowledge is quite extensive.

However, there is a short list of films that I should have seen but have not. Some of these films I have seen when i was very young and I don't remember, some of them I have seen bits and pieces of, and a very select few I have never seen a moment of.


Close Encounters is on that short list. I have owned it for over a year too. just never got around to watching it. I did see it when i was a kid, but i was kindergarten age or younger.
