    Random Music Thread

I'm watching the Hi Def Music channel and they're showing a David Gilmour concert. There's an international law that every videotaped live concert must have special guest stars and this one was no exception. But I must confess I was a bit surprised by who it was.

David Crosby and Graham Nash came out to join David Gilmour for a song. It was not bad at all despite how uncomfortable they looked during the 10 minute spacey guitar solo.

I'm on this INSANE classic rock binge. I left 104.7 the Wolf 6 moths ago for greener pastures and have stayed away from classic rock. Yesterday and today I've made up for all 6 months.

there is very little classic rock that i still enjoy. I've heard enough of most mainstream bands.

    S-Dogecdote:

My wife works at a big book store near a local mall. The store has one of those come in and relax atmospheres with a cafe and lots of comfy chairs.

Unfortunately not all those who take them up on that offer are stellar citizens - they will occasionally get overrun with mall rats, and/or stoners. when these situations threaten to get out of control, they've discovered a sure-fire method to get these unsavory elements to clear the store. They play John Tesh music. Within minutes all the rats and stoners get up and leave.

    It's true.

And you thought John Tesh music was pointless.

I just found one of my tapes I recorded of off a multitrack in the late 90's. Glenndog rocks the phat ass. I wish i was a better guitar player when I recorded these songs. some of them are still good.

I doubt it. Seriously, I am a much better guitar player now, but I don't have the patience to rerecord the stuff. besides i need a new guitar. mine is warped.

I still think John Tesh music is pointless. It's nice to know that it serves some useful purpose in the world, though.

Hey Glenndog, what exactly is wrong with your guitar?
I've never seen a warped guitar. I've seen warped necks, but never a warped guitar.
It's sparkle blue, isn't it? You just don't want us to know that you have a gay looking strum-fiddle.

the neck and pick guard is warped. the pick guard can be replaced but the neck is fucked. i paid $249 for it in 1998. I may invest in a new one this year but we will see. the tone is very twangy and i don't own any distortion pedals, just a classic analog delay.

Why wasn't "Temple of the Dog" the best thing to come out of the 90's? Goddamn that is a great band. Should have done more.
